With the business cards complete, the first thing that needed to be done was to send the book to print. The book needed to be sent off as I feared there would be a delay in processing the order due to COVID 19.

I called around and tried the websites of numerous print companies to get quotes for the print job. I wanted to have the book printed square hardback with a soft-touch matte finish.

I chose this type of finish as I believe it would suit the delicate nature of the topic. It also feels more luxurious, which I much preferred over the regular gloss lamination.

Most companies require a minimum order of at least 100 copies, so this was of no use to me.

I started to think outside the box and began looking into companies that print photo books.

Most photo books need a minimum of 15 pages which suited me perfectly and there is no minimum order number.

These photo books range from 20 euro to 40 euro which was a huge difference. I found a company called Optimal print which is a printing company based in Australia. They offered the cover I desired in a single book print order.

The order came to about 25 euros in total. The downside is the turnaround is about three weeks. Seeing as this is from Australia, I am worried if there are any delays, I will not have the physical book.

Aside from that, I need to start pulling all the pieces of the final project together next week as I will be focusing on completing the poster designs for the project.
