Last week I sent off the first designs to the participants to get their feedback on them. This was very important to me as I wanted to ensure that the women were happy with the designs, I created for them.
Participant A had some simple requests for revisions. The initial design had six roses in various sizes following a curve. She had requested that there would be fewer roses as she felt it was too crowded. This was an easy revision to make by simplifying the design and only included two roses and more foliage.
Participants B generally liked the design, but she was not too keen on the snake, she felt it was too worm-like. From her feedback, I was able to redraw her design with her new specifications.
Participant C’s design needs a good bit of work she was not too keen on it being the full body of the Tiger. she felt that this was too masculine for her even with the flowers. She had requested a tiger’s head instead of with some Flowers. I drew up a new design for her with her requests and sent it off.
Participant D’s feedback was very helpful, she had simply asked that I changed the design from a lion to a lioness to embrace her femininity. She also asked to see design as a side profile instead of a frontal portrait.
Participant E had requested a lot of changes to her design. She had asked for a completely new design as she did not like the initial one. She requested a female Buddha statue with a mandala included she feels this would best represent her spirituality.
Finally, Participant F simply requested a more ornate and decorative moth design to show off her feminine side. She had asked if I could include some more details and less solid areas of black.
After redrawing their designs, I sent them onto the women to get their feedback again. Once I get their feedback, I will be able to work on revisions needed before the final designs are chosen to be put into the book.
I need to keep working on these designs as I will not have time to waste. The next steps I will need to work on is the layout of the book and the other items that are going into the exhibition.
