Participant E Initial Design

Participant D, I began by looking over her responses to the questionnaire followed by looking at the mind maps and mood board created for her. She wanted something that portrayed her spirituality.

She had mentioned she liked the idea of a mandala or a buddha.

After doing some research, I decided that I would draw up the buddha with a floral design. I sketched for a few hours and began turning the sketches into a composition.

I knew from my questionnaire that participants E’s scar is 8 cms long and maybe 1.5 cms wide

From here I drew out a guide of what this scar would look like, this in turn helped me visualise the area I needed to cover.

I then focused on making an aesthetically pleasing design. The design was then sent onto participant E to get her thoughts and feedback so I can improve on the design.
