Participant B Initial Design

Participant B, I began by looking over her responses to the questionnaire followed by looking at the mind maps and mood board created for her. From there I knew a few things for certain, she wanted something classy, feminine, and powerful.

Looking at a range of tattoo forums, snakes can be used for a number of reasons. They are a symbol of strength and beauty. They can also look rather delicate once paired with flowers.

After doing some research, I decided that I would draw up a snake with some flowers.

I knew from my questionnaire that participants B's scar was approximately a 2-inch circle. With her surgery she had lost her nipple so it is important to make sure the scar would be covered with the centre of the design.

From here I drew out a guide of what this scar would look like, this in turn helped me visualise the area I needed to cover. From there I was able to see that the tattoo would need to follow the circle of the scar.

I then focused on making an aesthetically pleasing design. The design was then sent onto participant B to get her thoughts and feedback so I can improve on the design.
