Logo Design

I had originally designed thing logo for my major project. Although I do like the minimalism of the design I feel as it is too distant from the project aesthetic, I wanted to create a memorable logo which would draw attention.

From that point I started playing around with the idea of a logo containing a symbol/shape which would subtly hint at the shape of a breast to tie in the idea of the breast cancer. I didn't want to follow the usual routes of ribbons to represent breast cancer. That being said I did not want it too look too crude. Hence the below colour schemes were not working for that exact reason.

I ended up disliking all of these concepts as they just did not fit the project. I then played with some other abstract concepts. All of which did not work.

I revisited the idea of the circular symbol but added illustrations to represent the tattoo element. I wanted to make it fun and inviting. I added the script typeface to create the element of sophistication and femininity.

I liked the design but it didn't have the element of the breast shape so I tweaked the design and came up with the following. I also changed the typeface to help with readability as the previous typeface was too delicate to be read across a room.

In this version I feel like the shape was getting there but it was problematic for use on social media, it ended up looking awkward with the text underneath. For the final design I added the text to the middle of the icon, this broke up the image but also tied all the elements together, enhancing readability and clarity.
